Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia, largest city in Western Canada and third largest city in Canada. It is the country's gateway to the Pacific Rim and has one of the highest visible minority rates in Canada, with roughly half of the population born outside Canada. It hosted the World's Fair in 1986 and the Winter Olympics in 2010, and is home to the Vancouver Canucks.
