Victoria International Airport is the second busiest airport in British Columbia, after Vancouver International Airport, and one of the busiest in Canada in terms of passengers due to the many flights in and out of the airport. The airport serves Victoria, the capital of the province; the site started as a training field for the Canadian military before they left in 1952.
