Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, in Vancouver's Chinatown, is the first full-size Chinese garden built outside of China. It was built as a collaboration between the Canadian and Chinese governments, as well as the local Chinese community. It was named after Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, best known for being the "father of modern China" and the first president of the Republic of China.
