The Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal is the largest ferry terminal in British Columbia located on a man-made peninsula sticking out 2 miles (3 kilometers) into the Strait of Georgia. It is most well known as the major connecting point between Vancouver, the largest city in the province, and Victoria, the capital city of the province.

Boundary Marker No. 1 is a historic border marker between the United States and Canada; it is the western-most land border marker between the two countries. It lies on the 49th parallel, the border agreed upon by the United States and Great Britain on June 15, 1846, and the monument was placed here in 1861. From this point westwards, all contiguous American territories are south of the 49th parallel and share no land border with Canada. Unlike other boundary markers, Boundary Marker No. 1 lies mainly on American soil.

The Alex Fraser Bridge was formerly the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world when it opened in 1986, and was the longest one in North America until 2005. Today, it is the second-longest cable-stayed bridge in North America and the 32nd longest in the world.

The George Massey Tunnel is the lowest public road in Canada, with its lowest point at 80 feet (25 meters) below sea level. It crosses the Fraser River and its main purpose is to connect Vancouver and its airport to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and the Canada-United States border. It is part of BC Highway 99, which is the Canadian continuation of the United States' Interstate 5.
