The Port Mann Bridge is the name of two bridges in existence in the Fraser River area of British Columbia. The older bridge (in the background of the first photo) opened in 1964 and is the longest arch bridge in Canada and 15th longest arch bridge in the world. The newer bridge, still under construction at photo time and scheduled to open in 2012, will be the second longest cable-stayed bridge in the western hemisphere at 470 meters (1542 feet). It will also be the widest long span bridge in the world at 65 meters (213 feet) wide, beating out the previous record holder, the Sydney Harbour bridge.

Peace Arch International Park straddles the border between Canada and the United States, which is the world's longest border and longest unmilitarized border. It is located at the northern terminus of Interstate 5 in Blaine, Washington and the southern terminus of B.C. Highway 99 in Surrey, British Columbia. The park is named after the Peace Arch, a white monument that also straddles the border, symbolizing the peaceful friendship between the two countries. The Peace Arch border crossing is the busiest crossing between Canada and the United States west of the Eastern Time Zone. South Surrey Arena opened in 1991 and is home to the B.C. Hockey League's Surrey Eagles, whose most famous alumnus is Scott Gomez. The arena is also home to one of the two Olympic-sized ice surfaces in the Vancouver area, and has hosted both the 2005 Canadian Short Track Speed Skating Championships and 2009 National Women's Under-18 Hockey Championships.

Cloverdale is one of the town centers of Surrey, British Columbia, and is primarily an agricultural and ranching area. It is home to the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, Canada's second largest rodeo, as well as the filming locations for the exteriors of downtown Smallville in the TV show Smallville.

The Cloverdale Fairgrounds are the site of the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, the second largest of its kind in Canada (only after the Calgary Stampede). In addition to hosting the rodeo, part of its land is leased to Fraser Downs casino and racetrack, which is operated by the largest casino operator in Canada.

Connecting the cities of New Westminster and Surrey in British Columbia, the Skybridge crosses the Fraser River and is the longest cable-supported transit-only bridge in the world. It is part of the Expo Line of the SkyTrain system in Metro Vancouver. The bridge towers are 404 feet (123 meters) tall and the trains travel 150 feet (45 meters) above the water. It was built between 1987 and 1989, and runs nearly parallel to neighboring Pattullo Bridge.
