The Lions Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver. It was built in 1937 and is a National Historic Site of Canada. Purchase of the land was financed by the Guinness family (famous for their beer brand) and was sold to the province of British Columbia in 1955. It is the third longest suspension bridge in Canada and second longest one entirely in Canada (if not counting the Ambassador Bridge, which is in both the United States and Canada).
