Mount Baker is an active volcano located in Whatcom County, Washington; among the Cascades Range, it is the second most active volcano after Mount Saint Helens and the second most glaciated mountain after Mount Rainier. At 10,781 feet (3,286 meters), it ranks as the third highest mountain in Washington state and overlooks the British Columbia cities of Vancouver, Abbotsford and Victoria, as well as Bellingham, Washington. Mount Baker Ski Resort holds the world record for the most snowfall in a single season at 1,140 inches (2,896 centimeters).
