Steveston is a fishing village that is home to what was once the largest cannery in British Columbia and several National Historic Sites of Canada. It is home to the City of Richmond's Canada Day parade and was the only Canadian host city of the 2002 Tall Ships Festival, which drew 400,000 visitors. Today, it is home to a fish market dock, several fisheries divisions of the Government of Canada and high-end restaurants and art galleries.
