The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre is the largest arena in British Columbia outside of Vancouver; it will be home to the Western Hockey League's Victoria Royals and is formerly home to the Victoria Salmon Kings hockey team, the ECHL ex-affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks. It opened in 2005 and replaced the old Victoria Memorial Arena, which sat on the same site until its demolition in 2003.
