Status of structure/location since photo:
Big Ben is located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster and is the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world and the world's third-tallest free-standing clock tower; it was formerly the largest four-faced clock in the world. It was completed in 1858, built after a fire destroyed the old Palace of Westminster in 1834. It is renowned for its accuracy and reliability, having only one major breakdown in its history, in 1976.
