Grand Canyon National Park is one of the oldest national parks in the country and home to the Grand Canyon, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a sacred site for many Native American tribes. Stretches of it are over a mile deep, carved by the Colorado River.

Bryce Canyon National Park is home to the Bryce Canyon, a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion. It is located at a much higher elevation than neighboring Zion National Park. Its soil is rich in iron metals, giving it a bright orange color.

Zion National Park in southwestern Utah is home to the Zion Canyon, a half mile-deep canyon. It is home to one of the most diverse animal and plant populations in the country, including endangered species.
