Macau is home to the largest casino market in East Asia, so it comes as no surprise that there are not one but TWO major casino districts in the former Portuguese colony – this one on the Macau Peninsula and the other on the Cotai Strip. The former is the more well known and popular one, as it was established many years ago. In terms of income, Macau has the world's largest casino economy, topping even that of Las Vegas'. And to think, this place technically belongs to a communist government (as a Special Administrative Region of China)!
