Central China Television (CCTV) is the state-owned television network in the People's Republic of China, and their new headquarters were completed in 2009. Its unusual shape was constructed by building two towers and connecting them together. Despite being completed, the building is largely unused due to the repair work to the adjacent Television Cultural Center building, which suffered a large fire in 2009 (which took 6 hours to put out).
