The Britannia Mine Museum, formerly known as the British Columbia Museum of Mining, is a mining museum and former copper mine about 32 miles (52 kilometers) north of Vancouver. It was an active mine between 1904 and 1974, and is now a designated National Historic Site of Canada due to its former status of being one of the largest copper mines in the world and the biggest one in the British Commonwealth.
