The Vancouver Art Gallery is the largest art gallery in Western Canada and the 5th largest one in Canada. Its front lawn serves as a social gathering and protest area, and was the home of the countdown clock for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The building originally served as the city's courthouse; it is now frequently used as a filming location for courthouse scenes.
