Victoria's Mile Zero monument marks the official western end of the Trans-Canada Highway, a highway system that stretches from Canada's west coast to its east coast. From this point on, it continues in a series of routes that eventually lead to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador on the easternmost tip of Canada.
