Deception Pass State Park is the most visited state park in Washington, highlighted by the Deception Pass Bridge, one of the most photographed landmarks in the Puget Sound region. The bridge opened in 1935 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, while the park opened in 1923 and is a former military reserve. The bridge connects to Whidbey Island, the fourth largest and fourth longest island in the contiguous United States.
