The Hyundai Kia Automotive Group is South Korea's largest automaker, making up for almost 75% of all cars on the road in the country, and the world's fourth largest automaker after Toyota, General Motors and Volkswagen. The company originally only controlled Hyundai Motors but acquired Kia Motors in 1998. After Samsung and LG, Hyundai Kia is South Korea's third largest chaebol (business group).
