Nationwide Arena is the home of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Opened in 2000, it is also one of the three Columbus host venues for the annual Arnold Classic, a sports and bodybuilding event hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is also the first NHL arena to have a separate practice facility contained within (which would later be emulated by the New Jersey Devils' Prudential Center). The arena's presence serves as the center of the city's entertainment area, the Arena District. The 2007 NHL Entry Draft took place in the arena, in which Patrick Kane was chosen first overall.
